We gather to worship, pray, eat, and build authentic relationships in an environment where everyone is welcomed and valued. Many of the people we serve have never felt at home in a church. Here, they are loved without condition.

Jesus didn’t just preach the good news. He fed the hungry, touched the leper, and welcomed the outcast. At Wings Like Eagles DSM, each meal served is an opportunity to share the gospel and remind people they are not forgotten. We take Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:19 to “go and make disciples of all nations” to heart, starting right here in our city. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and empowering our community through various programs and initiatives. Our mission is to make a positive impact and create a better future for all.

Many of the individuals we serve have experienced addiction, rejection, trauma, or loss. We don’t judge the story they carry. We meet people where they are with love, patience, and the belief that God has a purpose for their life. Every person, regardless of their situation, bears the image of God and deserves to be treated with dignity and grace. We are here to remind them they are seen, known, and loved.

Poverty is often the result of a complex web of issues— mental illness, broken systems, addiction, and generational trauma. We know that true change takes time, trust, and hope. Our goal is not just to meet needs for today, but to help people see a different future. Through consistent relationships, spiritual discipleship, and practical support, we believe people can find freedom and healing through Christ.
Why we do what we do.
Wings Like Eagles DSM was born out of a deep, personal call to serve the lost and broken-hearted. For founder David Alvarez, this isn’t just a ministry—it's a mission close to his heart. Having experienced the power of redemption firsthand, David knows what it means to be transformed by Christ.
